CMYK V RGB
For Traditional Litho Printing a cmyk image is required. For the simple reason that Printing Presses print using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (Also known as K for Key).If set-up correctly, digital printers can produce a better in colour image from an RGB image when used in conjunction with a RIP.
The advantages of an RGB workflow and using ICC colour Management for digital print is that you will get better neutrals and a wider colour range on the final substrate.
However this also depends on the Digital Printer. For example a cmyk digital copier will still have a lower Colour gamut that our Cannon IPF printer which has 12 different inks including Red Green Blue.
